Child and Family Care Time Hourly Increments #2
As per the PMP Newsletter on January 22 https://www.pmp.co.jp/english/revision_to_the_labor_laws_and_regulations/602/ , the changes to the Child and Family Care Leave Act are effective from January 1, 2021.
Hence prior to January 1, please do not forget to update the Child and Family Leave Regulations, obtain the Employee Representative’s opinion, notify the employees, and submit the updated regulations to the relevant authorities.
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has recommended the following language: [Childcare Time and Family Care Time can be taken in continuous hourly increments either starting from the commencement time or prior to the finishing time.]
Please be advised that these are hourly instalments and minute intervals are not acceptable.
